La Quinta by Wyndham San Luis Obispo

The room is beautiful. The bed was very comfortable. The location was perfect. The breakfast was amazing. Love the balcony. The price was acceptable. The shampoo, conditioner, lotion and shower liquid soap dispensers were a bonus!

This hotel was exceptional. From staff, to the room, to the amenities the hotel exceed any expectations I had. I had two separate bookings and the manager on duty (shout out to Kim!), was able to arrange for us to remain in the same room for the entire stay (vs having to change rooms mid-stream: e.g. pack up and move luggage and "stuff" out of room #1 in the a.m. and then "check in" to room #2 in the afternoon). This accommodation was amazing and allowed for us to take full advantage of our time in SLO and the surrounding area. I highly recommend this hotel for the ease, comfort, and wonderfully welcoming staff.

Just under a mile to downtown, so walkable, although slight uphill on the way back. Property looks new and well maintained. Rooftop pool and gym, although small, were welcome additions. Generally very quiet.

The continental breakfast had all the basics and the eating area was nicely furnished. The entire hotel feels new and clean, and all of the fixtures and rooms are in good condition. The staff were very friendly and parking at this location is very easy. It was co-located with the 1865 Craft House which was very convenient. Rooftop pool and hot tub were clean and accessible, if only a little small.

I couldn't wait to write this review! OMG- greeted by warm staff- all of them -everyone I met from the front desk to the Senoritas who service the room- so nice!! CLEAN! This place is so clean, bright, airy, and located across the street from one of the BEST restaurants I've been to- called 1865 - I went to the well equipped gym, yoga mats are available as well as towels and a water station! Coffee is available 24 hours! Breakfast is delicious with a selection of fruit, oatmeal, eggs, sausages, bagels, bread, pastries, waffles, and a pancake machine! The breakfast staff was really nice and accommodated the late stragglers who wanted last minute items. Self service laundry is on each floor. Beautiful rooftop pool and jacuzzi. 2 Computers in the lobby. Next time I come to SLO, this will be my place to stay! My room had a nice balcony that I left open for fresh air. Beds were so comfy...I wanted to see what kind of mattress they use--and made so nice with some fluffy coverings and duvet covers. Also a microwave and fridge in the room- Love this hotel! I love that the room smells genuinely and naturally clean----not sprayed with chemicals like Febreeze or other artificial smells. Almost forgot - LOVE their Paul Mitchell products- Definitely recommend this 5 star hotel with 5 star staff and 5 star skin/hair care products and 5 star facilities!
